Abstract:
The study looked at e-procurement and performance of Uganda breweries Limited. The study objectives were: To examine the influence of E-Ordering on performance of Uganda breweries Limited, ii) To determine the effect of E-Sourcing on performance of Uganda breweries Limited and iii) To find out the influence of E-tendering on performance of Uganda breweries Limited. The study was limited to E-procurement and performance of Uganda breweries Limited. The study anchored on one theory dynamic capability theory. A sample of 52 respondents were determined using Krejcie Morgan (1970). The main purpose of the study was to establish the effect of e- procurement on performance of Uganda breweries Limited. The study based on different e procurement forms like e ordering, e sourcing and e tendering as independent variables and performance in form of quality production, profitability, efficient inventory management and cost reduction as dependent variables. Based on the results and decisions described, it can be concluded that electronic Procurement that consists of e ordering, e sourcing and e tendering has great effect on performance of Uganda breweries Limited. From the findings of objective one, it was concluded that embracing E ordering by performance of Uganda breweries Limited leads to improved performance. An exclusive study on the E-procurement constraints facing Manufacturing firms in Uganda should be carried out. Future research should be conducted on determinants of E procurement adoption and performance in Uganda and compare their performance over a period using secondary data.
