For drinking water sources, saline water treatment has become more crucial. To different types of salts from water samples taken at different boreholes in Ongongoja village, Katakwi district, and this study set out to assess the efficiency and design of a solar distillation system while accounting for at least three persons per home. Since these salts are in charge of determining the salinity of water, they are total dissolved solids, chlorides, sodium, potassium, sulphates, and hydrogen carbonates.
Several elements were noted to achieve the removal efficiency, including increased solar radiation, a larger machine collecting surface, good insulation, shallow water depths, and higher feed water temperatures.
People in developing countries need low-cost, simple-to-use desalination systems that are accessible and easy to run because these countries are typically poor. Several components were designed utilizing relevant equations and formulas.
It can be concluded that the finest and least expensive method for desalinating saline water is solar distillation.
