The objective of this industrial training is to make students benefit from the skills and knowledge gained from the fields, apply the knowledge they get from the classroom in the field and build confidence in the students. During my internship, I was attached to all the departments within the farm. This was followed by orientation where I was first introduced to the field supervisor and later, I implemented activities such as: deworming, spraying in the crush, tail docking, nursery bed establishment, fish sampling and manure crib construction among others.
During my internship, also faced some challenges like: language barrier, welfare, safe drinking water, lack of veterinary drugs, limited transport means for fieldwork in the production department, and time management. In conclusion. all the activities were implemented and industrial training was carried out successfully, I. was able to gain a lot from it. I was in a position to get -practical skills and knowledge in line with my career and relate with people in the field. The technical advice that I provided addressed farmers problems and needs. Much as all were successfully done, there were also some little challenges which hindered the smooth running of the activities making me recommend that proper shelter should be improve for the training programs to solve problems of accommodation, the director should also increase the number or motorcycles to solve transport problems and more equipment and veterinary drugs to be installed so that animals are treated and vaccinated in time.
