Faculty of agricultry and animal sciences industrial training report car d out in Soroty city council.

Abstract

The Industrial Training was carried out from 28th Feb to 22 11 April 2022 in Soroti City a period of 8 weeks. This report contains information on activities carried out as a course Unit for Award of Diploma in Animal Production under the Department of Agri-business and Extension with the aim of putting into practice the theoretical knowledge from the lectures received to gained new skills and boost confidence. Attached to Soroti City Council under the Department of Production, I carried out tasks that correlate with my course leading to acquisition of new skills, these skills and knowledge came hand in handed with challenges faced then my conclusions and recommendations, This report contains details on the background of attachment, history objectives, skills gained and so much more. Reading through this report give one light different task which cut across not only animal but also cross sector. These activities w divided in three categories that is: meat inspection at the abattoir, whereby I got to visit e abattoir and put my knowledge into use in identification of parasites and diseases that attack animals.

Office work this involved entering data into computer, the data and lastly field work which involved going out to different parts of the city collecting information on Agro-input Enterprises Vaccination of Poultry and Demo on Pig feeding. With all these activities carried out I got to experience a lot gained new skills that are of help to me as a student doing DAP as expressed in this report.
