Abstract:
This report contains the introductiondescribing the full meaning of Ngetta ZARDI and loaction, historical background, vision, mission, mandates, core values, activities and structure of the organization.
The training was to equip the researchers with the knowledge on practical skills required in agricultural activities. This is described through different activities carried out in different units. The units include; dairy production unit, goat unit, agro-forestry, horticulture, germplasm (mangoes and citrus plantation), aquaculture, apiculture and adaptive research. Some of the activities were; cleaning, milking, treatment and feeding in goats and dairy units, budding and grafting in horticulture unit and among others.
Practical skills were gained for example milking, tick control, budding, grafting, potting, vegetative propagation and paddock management which had great positive impact on my future career.
Conclusion which shows that the attachment was successful, challenges and recommendations like the institute should employ farm attendants who know English.
Lastly, the last pages have a sketch of the Ngetta ZARDI figures and the work plan.
