The internship was carried out at NAGRC & DB Njeru Stock Farm P.O Box1715, Njeru Municipality for a period of two months from 28th February 2022 to 22nd April 2022. This report consists of four chapters, chapter one includes introduction and talks about the location, historical background, vision, goals, objectives, achievements or benefits, future prospects, problems and challenges faced by the farm, solutions and organization structure of Njeru Stock Farm.
Chapter two basically contains orientation, pasture improvements and management, tool and equipment's used in Pasture Management, cattle production and management, goat section, piggery unit, disease prevention, control and management, animal Genetics and Breeding, Artificial Insemination, Farm Structures and Machinery and various Productive activities.
Chapter three is composed of skill and qualifications gained, challenges encountered, responsibilities undertaken and comparison of goals (correlation).
Chapter four explains about the conclusions and recommendations that is to say, the internship was to a great extent beneficial since it provided practical skills and knowledge for example; disease diagnosis, treatment, dipping of animal, dehorning, disbudding, record keeping, deworming, milking, weight taking and artificial insemination.
